To change your @KGC.cc mail settings go to:
http://mail.google.com/hosted/kgc.cc/
You should see a login page which looks like this ...

If you haven't already, bookmark this page. Enter your primary username (you may also have nicknames to which people can also send eMail, but here you have to enter the one which was setup first, your primary username.) Also enter your password and I recommend checking the Remember Me box. Then press Sign In. You should see a screen which looks like ...

Before I forget, one of the nice features of this view, especially if you have a high resolution monitor and/or the subject is short is that in addition to the subject, you see the start of the message itself. (This is controlled by show snippets on the settings screen below.) The snippets are highlighed here ...

Click on Settings (highlighted on the screen shot above). This brings you to the first settings screen. To take full advantage of Gmail, I recommend you make it your primary mailbox. Any pre-existing accounts were setup to just forward to you current ISP. To change this, click on the Forwarding and POP tab.

Here you see that Forwarding is enabled, and no copy of the message is being saved by Gmail ...

Disable Forwarding and enable POP ... choose the option which says archive Gmail's copy, don't forget to Save Changes ...

Once you've done this your Mail with be saved on the Google server and you can download it to you eMail program (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.) via the POP protocol. (The reason you choose archive Gmail's copy is so that if you use a web browser to later look at your mail, only mail you haven't downloaded will be in your Inbox. Mail you've already downloaded can still be read using a web browser by clicking on the All Mail folder.)
While you're in the settings, I recommend going to the Accounts tab and changing your password (don't forget your new password, better write it down somewhere) ...

(On the accounts tab, Google's standard Gmail also allows you to add additional eMail addresses which you can prove are valid, but the domain based version we are using doesn't support that feature. If you need it, I recommend getting a standard Gmail account and forwarding your @KGC.cc mail to that account.) If you want to get a standard Gmail account, here's is a summary of how to setup a Gmail account that I wrote-up ... you need a cell phone that accepts text messages to get the account.
I've captured screen shots of setting up two different eMail programs you might use to access your KGC.cc mailbox, if you use a different program, review these two first and also Google's examples (link below).
Once you've setup your eMail program, you should be able to download any eMail that is in your KGC.cc inbox. After downloading, when you refresh your web browser, the Inbox should be empty ... the mail will have moved to the archive (the All Mail folder) ...

Obviously, you can also use the interface above to read your mail from computers other than the one where eMail program (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.) resides. I will often use it to check for an spam that has been missed by the Google and remove it before downloading. (The procedure is the check the little box next to any messages in the Inbox that are spam and then click on "Report Spam".)
The other thing I recommend doing is to review your spam on a regular basis and delete everything that really is spam. If you haven't looked at it already, see
Reviewing suspected spam.
