There are a lot of programs which make it easy for you do design your own website. The advantage of these programs is that they provide you with a graphical interface, allowing you to design the pages without worring about the details of coding the HTML which will generate the pages. If you want to create your own website, using one of these programs is one way to start. However, we find the pages they produce do not display well in all viewers.
We recommend you buy either a generic website template (which you fill in yourself using a HTML editor) or you have Cherryfield.net custom build your initial website.
Our experience is that once have a website design you like, it's not that difficult to understand how it's coded in HTML. Once you understand how it is coded, it's easy to make changes and maintain it yourself. The first step maintain it is to learn the basics of HTML.
